Cancer took off my first love: Vivek Oberoi

The actor Vivek Oberoi has struggled not only in his professional life but also in his personal life.

He lost his childhood love to cancer when he was only 18. He wrote on Twitter,” When I was just 18, I lost my first love. My childhood sweetheart since the age of 13 died of cancer.”

The actor is endorsing the brand of Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) and says that by helping those who can hardly afford treatments for cancer he is revering his late girlfriend to which he says,” Every time I help CPAA, spend time with the patients going to the hospitals on Rose Day or celebrate my b’day with terminally ill children, I feel I am honoring her memory.”

He added, “My mother taught me – the best way to honor the memory of someone you’ve loved and lost is to reach out and ease someone else’s pain and misfortune.”

Now the he actor is expecting a lot from his upcoming film Prince that may bring a twist to his carrier.
