When he was in Hyderabad for the promotion of the film, the fans went crazy and berseck to the extent that the actor’s security had to intervene. Salman himself was seen pushing his fans away who were constantly trying to get closer to him and Sonakshi.

As per India’s leading trade expert ‘Dabangg’ is all set to embark on (perhaps) the biggest start for a Salman Khan solo and the opening weekend is likely to settle in the 29-31 crore band.

The film received rave reviews from friends and well wishers at its special screening. The stars present included the likes of Manoj Kumar, Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, Malaika Arora, Salim Khan, Abhinav Kashyap, Kalki Koechlin, Karisma Kapoor, Imran Khan, Avantika Malik, Kunal Kapoor, Asha Parekh, Waheeda Rehman, Helen, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, Prasoon Joshi, Reena Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri, and Shruti Seth.

The rumors of Salman breaking up with Kaif gained solidarity when Salman told in an interview to TV channel Headlines Today, “I have broken up with Katrina. We were friends then for everybody, we are friends now.”

He even went on to explain the reason behind the breakup, “Koi cheez tootati hain toh isliye kyonki ya to different ways chali gayi hai, ya ek shakhs ki growth nahin hui, ya ek ne kuch aur path chun liya hai, ya sensibility samajh mein nahi aati, ya thinking galat ho gayi hain (A relationship breaks if it gets stretched in different directions, or one person does not grow, or the other person takes a different path, or there is some misunderstandingor they have grown out of love.)”

“So there are different interferences, the parents perhaps… or the interference of anything,” he said, adding, “it’s just two people not getting along, something that obviously doesn’t end peacefully. But if you can manage to stay friends, there is nothing like it.”

This adds to another sad end of a long affair in Bollywood!!

Everytime Mahesh decides to end his Bollywood career, Sallu steps in and his plans of retirement goes for a toss. At first, it was Salman’s home production “Dabangg”, in which Salman coaxed Mahesh into playing the role of Sonakshi Sinha’s father.

Next Salman decided to drag Mahesh by the neck and made him join the cast of Anees Bazmi’s “Ready” for which the actor is currently shooting in Colombo. The decision was so sudden that Mahesh still has no idea which role he is supposed to play.

“Salman said you have to do it. I know, I decided I won’t be acting any more. But you can’t say no to Salman. He said, ‘You’re in ‘Ready’ and you’re part of my family in the film. Beyond that all I know is I play a positive role for a change,” said the actor.

Salman Khan who was shooting for Anees Bazmee’s “Ready” in Sri Lanka, was the only one who could persuade co-actor Paresh Rawal to leave the shooting unfinished to attend to more important matters. While the unit of the film was shooting in Sri-Lanka, they received the news of the sudden demise of Paresh Rawal’s mother. Even though Paresh was upset beyond words, he decided to finish the shoot and then leave for India. It was then that Salman went up to him and convinced him to leave for his home immediately.

“It was the first day of shoot in Colombo. The unit had started working at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel there when news arrived that Paresh Rawal’s mother had expired. Rawal broke down on the sets and was inconsolable.

However, Pareshbhai said that he would finish the shoot and then go to perform the final rituals. The situation was grim and although everyone spoke about Paresh’s professionalism, it would have been unfair to shoot with him in this situation. Pareshbhai insisted that he would shoot and no one had a say in this matter.

When Salmanbhai learnt about it, he went and offered his condolences to Pareshbhai and explained to him that the shoot would go on unhindered even if he went back to India, and that he must go. After a brief chat with Salman, he agreed and an evening flight was booked for him. He soon left for Mumbai. The unit has now changed the combination scenes of Pareshbhai to those of Salman and Asin’s, which are being shot right now,” said a source explaining the events at length.

Paresh Rawal will be joining the unit back in Sri Lanka after attending to his mother’s last rites.

The story is that, Salman Khan had wanted to buy a property in Panchgani for a very long time. The actor wants to build a calm and serene home in the lovely location. But things were not materializing and Salman was not being able to finalize his choices. So, ultimately he asked for Amir Khan’s help.

Amir was quick to help his friend out. Panchgani is very familiar to Amir, who has a cottage in his name there. So it was not very difficult for Amir to help salman. He made one phone call, and all was settled. He also decided to guide Salman through the process himself.

“Amir had short-listed a few potential plots and had been guiding Salman all this while. Last week, Salman finally zeroed down on one of the plots,” confirmed a source.

The “Dabangg” team shooting in Film City had to shoot a factory going up in flames for a particular sequence in the film. But the sudden rain ruined all their efforts, and moreover the rain refused to stop. And when the rain stopped, the structure was so wet with the rain that it just refused to catch fire.

The unit finally had to call off that day’s shoot because it kept raining in spurts till 3 am in the morning. So the unit decided to return the next day to shoot the scene again.

When Amar Singh discussed this idea with Kats over the phone and offered her the role, she was taken aback initially but also thrilled at the novelty of it. Katrina says that Singh seemed very sure about the selection of actors and the innovative idea which Katrina feels is going to take the whole tinsel town by surprise. As the movie will have no dialogues, the recordings of phone taps will be incorporated for the background score.

And what’s more, Sallu even inspired a few of the team to do the same. So every morning it became a regular sight, of team members parading their way to the shooting location.

Salman Khan’s strict fitness regime and the resultant physique is an object of much discussion and envy. So it doesn’t need to be reiterated that the actor takes absolute care not to let his gymming routine go awry. And, so Sallu adjusted to the situation and took to the simplest and age old funda of walking to keep fit.

Sophie was supposed to perform at the function and while she did perform a few songs from her latest album Sound of Sophie, the audience was pleasantly surprised by Sophie’s thoughtful gesture of dedicating an entire song to the cause. The song that she wrote herself overnight was composed with the help of Bappi Lahiri’s son, Bappa Lahiri. The song that is called Jiyo Iss Tarah, reminds one of MJ’s all time hit Heal The World. It talks about keeping peace and harmony irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The cause that is fighting to promote harmonious relations between the neighbouring countries, found its sprit being voiced through Sophie’s dedication. “I adore Salman, Sohail, Arbaaz and the entire family. The only gift I thought I could give them was a part of my talent. So, I penned this song and presented it,” said Sophie.

The film was titled Qaiidi No 210 that had to feature Chirag Patil, the son of cricketer Sandeep Patil as Salman. Now the film has been brought to a halt due to Sallu’s objection.
